Country Pure Foods is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Clerk to join our team!
Assists the Warehouse Manager with clerical, data entry, customer service and other administrative duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Answers and screens incoming telephone calls when reception is out. Assists caller with routine information or routes call to appropriate person for further assistance.
Prepares daily dispatch schedule for local and customer carrier loads.
Prints load copies and prepares for warehouse distribution.
Verifies accuracy of information on Bills of Lading and confirms inventory levels and shipment information. Investigates and assists in the resolution of any discrepancies and notifies appropriate people.
Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.
Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
Maintains accurate inventories. Validates production counts and transfers inventories between locations.
Conduct Cycle Count inventory processes to ensure accuracy and timely execution
Oversee and evaluate stock rotation procedures
Maintain inventory accuracy on storage for warehouse and on-site production inventory
Maintain and evaluate inventory records on a daily, weekly, monthly basis
Ensure the accuracy of the flow of inventory; through process and procedure verification, system review audits and transaction documentation, improves security and tracking of inventory.
Analyzes and investigates system transactions as well as inventory data entry to ensure accuracy.
Manage the slow/overstock and non-moving inventory through generated reports to limit any potential loss and report to management of inventory changes. Contact appropriate supply chain team members for disposition of items.
Assists with Off-Site Storage coordination when needed.
Balances production counts and completes daily warehouse transfers.
Initiates cycle counts with warehouse personnel as needed.
Assists with off-site storage coordination when needed.
Organizes and maintains file system and files correspondence and other records.
Makes copies of correspondence or other printed materials.
Manages difficult or emotional customer situations and responds promptly and professionally to customer needs.
Assists with Sample coordination.
Completes daily Warehouse transfers.
Understands business implications of decisions and displays orientation to profitability.
Cross trains other department personnel to cover for absences. – pass down knowledge
Follows instructions and responds to management or lead direction.
Writes and speaks clearly and informatively and able to read and interpret written information.
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and completes work in timely manner.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
No degree required. A minimum of 2 years’ experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient typing and computer skills including knowledge of Accounting software, Database software; Internet software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software (MS Excel), Word Processing software (MS Word) and Email software (Groupwise).
